1. Information we collect

  • Account information: your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile image when you sign in with Google; your StarBoost account identifier, edited display name, language and account preferences. Google handles your Google password; StarBoost does not receive it. Administrator-provisioned email accounts use a StarBoost password, stored only as a secure password hash.
  • Orders and activity: the public usernames or profile/content links you submit, selected services, quantities, order labels and notes, delivery updates, cancellation and refill requests, saved services and destinations, reward claims and notification preferences.
  • Purchases and Stars: product identifiers, Google Play purchase tokens and order references, purchase, refund and verification status, and your Stars balance and transaction history. Google Play handles payment details for Android in-app purchases; StarBoost does not collect your full payment card number.
  • Support: messages, feedback, deletion requests and screenshots you choose to send. Only the images you submit are uploaded for support. Avoid including passwords, verification codes or unrelated personal information.
  • Device and connection information: app installation identifiers, Firebase messaging tokens, notification permission status, session/device labels, and technical information used by the app and service providers, such as app/SDK and operating-system information. Our hosting and network services may process IP addresses and request logs when you connect.

Information required for sign-in, order fulfilment or purchase verification is needed to provide those features. Screenshots, saved destinations, phone notification permission and Analytics measurement are optional. Android versions that include Analytics keep its collection disabled until you opt in. Crash and performance reporting has a separate optional choice, disabled by default.

2. How we use information

We use this information to create and secure your account, remember your language and preferences, fulfil and track requested orders, verify purchases and refunds, maintain your Stars balance, administer rewards, deliver notifications you enable, answer support requests and process account deletion. We also use necessary technical and transaction records to prevent misuse, resolve disputes and diagnose service problems.

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of the service you request, consent for optional features where required, legitimate interests in maintaining and securing the service, and applicable legal obligations. You can withdraw optional permissions through the app or your device settings.

3. Service providers and sharing

We share the information necessary for a feature with the following providers:

  • Google Sign-In and Google Play: authentication, payment processing, purchase verification, consumption confirmation and refund checks. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Gemini API for support assistance: when a support administrator requests a reply draft, selected support text and relevant order facts may be processed by Google to help prepare a response in your language. Direct account contact details, authentication credentials, payment tokens and screenshot files are excluded from the structured context; common identifiers in message text are redacted where possible. This does not guarantee that free-form messages are anonymous. Staff review drafts before sending; the AI does not place orders, issue refunds or send replies itself. Cached drafts are usable for 15 minutes; expired draft records are removed when another draft is requested. Sent support replies follow the support record retention described below. See Gemini API terms and data handling.
  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: installation identifiers, messaging tokens and notification content required to deliver phone notifications. This notification service is separate from optional Analytics measurement. See Firebase privacy information.
  • Google Analytics for Firebase (optional): after you allow app usage measurement, Google processes app-instance identifiers, app interactions and lifecycle events, device/operating-system details, approximate location derived from IP addresses, and in-app purchase information such as product identifiers and prices. We send successful login method, order platform/quantity/Stars spent, verified Stars purchase counts and purchase-flow steps (shop visit, package selection, checkout start and verified/pending/cancelled/error result). We do not set a StarBoost user ID or send your name, email, social-media destinations or support messages as Analytics event parameters. Advertising measurement has a separate opt-in for advertising identifiers and conversion measurement with Google Ads. Ad personalization remains disabled. See Google's Privacy Policy and Firebase privacy information.
  • Firebase Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring (optional): with your separate crash/performance reporting permission, Firebase processes crash and ANR reports, exception/stack information, device and operating-system details, installation identifiers, app version and loading/performance metrics to help us diagnose problems. Native crash reports may be stored locally by the SDK even when upload is disabled. Our integration keeps automatic Crashlytics upload disabled; it sends pending reports on a subsequent app start only if diagnostic reporting was already permitted, and requests deletion of unsent reports when you decline or newly opt in. Custom WebView reports use fixed error categories; we do not forward JavaScript error messages, script URLs, JavaScript stacks, page contents or support messages. Custom performance traces measure web loading, account loading, Play product loading, opening the Play payment interface and server purchase verification. We do not enable automatic HTTP request instrumentation or add user identifiers to these traces. See Firebase privacy information.
  • RevenueCat: a pseudonymous StarBoost account identifier, purchase tokens and related purchase and technical information for recording and managing Android purchase activity and purchase analytics. RevenueCat may derive a country from your IP address for its customer and purchase statistics; this is approximate location, not GPS or precise location. We do not set your name or email as RevenueCat customer attributes, and automatic advertising identifier collection is disabled in our integration. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
  • BulkFollows: the destination, service and quantity required to fulfil your order, together with order, cancellation or refill references. The destination can identify a public social media account. Fulfilment may involve the provider's own partners. Account authentication details and Google passwords are not included in our fulfilment requests.
  • Hostinger and hosting infrastructure: website/API delivery, database storage and necessary technical logs. Authorised StarBoost administrators can access account, order and support records to operate the service. See Hostinger's Privacy Policy.

We may disclose information when necessary to comply with a valid legal request or protect the security and rights of users and the service. StarBoost does not display third-party advertisements. Optional Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement are described above; their collection depends on your measurement choices.

These providers may process information in countries different from your own. Their privacy terms describe their processing and international transfer arrangements. Contact us for information about the processing associated with your account.

4. Local storage and notifications

The app and website store necessary session information, language preferences and selected account settings on your device. Saved services and destinations may also be kept locally and synchronised with your account. Android caches website assets and SDK information to support normal operation.

You can remove saved items in the app, sign out to end the local session, or clear app/browser data to remove local copies. Clearing local data or uninstalling the app does not delete your server account or purchase history.

You can control notification categories in StarBoost and disable phone notifications in Android settings. Notifications may appear on your lock screen according to your device settings. We use short account, order and support updates rather than the full private support conversation for phone notifications.

5. Retention and account deletion

Account, order, reward, saved-item and support information is retained while your account is active so that we can provide your history and handle support. Account information is not automatically deleted merely because you stop using or uninstall the app.

You can request deletion from the app's account settings or our public account deletion page. You may also email hello@starboost.app. We verify ownership and address any active orders or unconfirmed purchases before completing the request.

When deletion is completed, we disable account access and remove primary profile details, Google sign-in association, order destinations and notes, support messages and screenshots, saved items, rewards, notifications and registered device tokens from the active account database.

Order and Stars ledger records, purchase tokens and references, refund records, certain internal account identifiers and necessary audit/deletion records can remain for transaction reconciliation, dispute resolution, fraud prevention and legal obligations. These retained transaction records currently have no automatic scheduled deletion; a request concerning retained records is reviewed according to the continuing purpose and applicable requirements. Deleting your StarBoost account does not automatically delete records Google or other providers retain under their own policies. Necessary backup copies may remain until replaced or removed through the hosting backup lifecycle.

Optional measurement controls

In Android versions supporting Analytics, you can allow or decline app usage measurement, advertising measurement and crash/performance reporting in the measurement prompt, and change your choices later in Profile → Measurement preferences. Advertising measurement requires app usage measurement. Crash/performance reporting is independent of both choices. Declining does not prevent you from using your account, orders, Stars or support.

Turning app usage measurement off stops future Analytics collection and resets local Analytics data. This does not automatically erase information already sent to Google. That information is subject to the retention settings of our Analytics property and Google’s processing terms. Contact us for a request concerning previously collected data. Turning crash/performance reporting off prevents new custom diagnostic reports, disables performance collection and requests deletion of unsent crash reports; already uploaded or in-flight reports are not automatically erased. Necessary account, purchase-verification and notification processing continues independently of optional measurement.

6. Your choices and rights

You can edit your display name and language, remove saved items, change notification settings, sign out and request account deletion. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct or obtain a copy of your information, object to certain processing, request restriction or deletion, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority.

Send requests to hello@starboost.app. We may ask for information needed to verify account ownership. Do not send your Google password or verification codes.

7. Security

The app connects to our production service over HTTPS. Account and support access is restricted by authentication and authorisation checks. We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no internet service or device can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Children

StarBoost is not designed for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorisation, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our features, providers or data practices change. The effective date will be updated on this page. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent for material changes.
